This is a great product at an outstanding price. When the AC adapter for my HP laptop failed, I was unable to find a suitable replacement locally. So looking online I found this equivalent product from Accessory Genie for less than 1/3 of what the price would be to order the original directly from HP. Since I had already tried a couple of adapters locally without success, I was a little skeptical of an equivalent product at first. Time was important too, as I cannot afford to be without my laptop for even a day. But because they specifically listed my model number and guaranteed a fit I decided to give them a chance, and I was really glad I did. I ordered the adapter on Amazon on Monday morning, and had it in my hands by Tuesday afternoon! I called Accessory Genie's customer service department shortly after ordering it and was told they had not yet received the confirmation from Amazon, but when they did they would try their best to accommodate my need. Hats off to Accessory Genie, Amazon, and FedEx for getting the product I needed from California to Indiana in just one day's time! I have been using this adapter for over three weeks now and it works just like the original, but has a 3 year warranty while the much more expensive one from HP is only warranted for one year. I highly recommend Accessory Genie for their parts and just as importantly their top-notch customer service!

First off, let me start by saying not all laptop adapters are up to the task before them. Some manufactures blur the lines between the manufacturer recommended power rating and what is sold as compatable. I looked hard at HP ZV5000 power adapters and found many are only 120 watt rated not 135 watt as HP specified. Would the lower supply work, maybe but this adapter is rated at 135 watt and it works!

I can't say much else except that the build quality is nominal, the device came with all necessary cables and everything worked together to power my laptop. I will update this document if things change in a few months but at this time (1 week) the adapter has and continues to work as advertised.

If you have a HP ZV5000 or another listed laptop, then this power adapter is for you. :)
